Freedom Cry

-Rageeb Juhair Nur

We've passed difficult times since the beginning of the pandemic, let it be economic struggles, health issues, or education barriers. However what we don't know is that not just our country, but in fact the whole world has been a part of a much worse pandemic than one we are in now. It is society's negative values and norms which have been normalised over the decades or even centuries of our existence. Luckily however, one individual and his team decided to challenge those very values and norms through one of the most efficient means of communication to the general public, yes with the aid of social media. But the question is, who are they? They're known as Unmukto Vasha, founded by Towshique Ahamed Khan, currently studying at BAF Shaheen College Dhaka, with an incredible reputation in a wide range of extra curricular activities, and his team of 6 dexterous individuals, bringing ideas for every episode, with the goal of making it unique and helpful. Unmukto Vasha is a live podcast which is now transitioning to a pre-recorded program, and has had a successful first season, with each episode tackling salient issues in the country.

"In a world of one sided narrative, we wish to make things more complicated ", is what Towshique replied, when asked about his intention to start Unmukto Vasha. Season 2 is currently streaming with weekly episodes, and is on Facebook, Instagram and Spotify. For contact purposes, their social media in Instagram and Facebook is available
